Our
Story

Beta Phi Delta Fraternity, a proud subsidiary of the Beta Phi Delta Foundation, operates under the umbrella of a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to empowering youth through the transformative power of music. Our primary focus is supporting high school marching bands by ensuring students have the essential resources needed to thrive musically, academically, and personally. We believe that a well-supported student is a successful student, and our programs are designed to uplift and inspire the next generation of musicians and leaders.

One of our cornerstone initiatives centers on the physical well-being of marching band members. We provide water, sports drinks, snacks, and full meals during long practices and performances to combat fatigue and prevent dehydration. These efforts not only fuel the body but also enhance performance and boost morale. Additionally, we proudly award scholarships to graduating high school seniors who have participated in their school’s marching band and aspire to continue their musical journey at a Historically Black College or University (HBCU). These scholarships help ease the financial burden of higher education and encourage students to pursue excellence in music and academics.

Beyond direct support to marching bands, Beta Phi Delta Fraternity is deeply invested in developing student leadership. We provide mentorship, guidance, and opportunities for high school students to earn volunteer hours required for graduation. Our commitment to community service extends far beyond the field—we organize efforts to feed and assist unhoused individuals, distribute toys and gifts to children during the holiday season, and continuously seek new ways to give back. At Beta Phi Delta, we stand united in our mission to serve, support, and uplift the youth and communities that need us most.

Our goal is to build a band, and our purpose is to build a better band. Where there’s unity, there’s strength.
