Marching under the South Florida sun is no small task — especially for the talented and hardworking students of the Dillard High School Marching Band, also known as The Force. On July 21, 2022, our H2O Program was in full effect, making sure every student stayed cool, refreshed, and ready to perform at their best during intense summer rehearsals.

Our Impact

With temperatures soaring and physical demands high, hydration was key. The H2O Program provided a steady supply of cold water and Gatorade, keeping students fueled and focused throughout the day. Volunteers and staff ensured hydration breaks were frequent and encouraged, helping prevent heat-related fatigue and dehydration.

Why water and Gatorade?

Water replenishes essential fluids lost through sweat
Gatorade adds electrolytes and energy, supporting endurance and recovery
Together, they help students stay sharp, energized, and healthy during long practices in the Florida heat
