Meet Talia Jour'ney Austin

     Talia Jour'ney Austin is an exceptional young talent and proud member of the Dillard High School community in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a dedicated trumpet player, Talia has been an integral part of the Dillard High School Marching Band for the past three to four years. During her senior year, she demonstrated her remarkable leadership skills by serving as both the band president and section leader, inspiring her peers with her commitment and passion for music. Her involvement in the band was a driving factor in her decision to attend Dillard, showcasing her deep appreciation for the arts and her desire to be part of something special.

     Beyond her talent as a musician, Talia is a multifaceted artist who enjoys singing and excels in drawing. With a passion for creativity, she plans to pursue a major in digital art and graphic design. This fall, Talia will begin her college journey at Broward College, where she will study for two years before transferring to a university to continue her education. Although she has not yet decided on her transfer school, she is confident that the right choice will present itself in due time. Talia's vision for her future reflects her determination to grow as an artist and turn her passion into a successful career.

     As the youngest of three siblings, Talia embodies resilience and drive, qualities that have undoubtedly contributed to her success both on and off the field. She cherishes her time in the Dillard High School Marching Band, where she found joy in performing popular music and thrilling audiences during halftime shows at football games. Her story is a testament to the power of the arts to shape lives and inspire young people to dream big. Talia's journey is just beginning, and her dedication, creativity, and leadership are sure to leave a lasting impact on her community and beyond.
